“Blessing of the Fleet”
Saturday June 28,2025 @ Noon
Event: Blessing of the Fleet! Back by popular demand. The Blessing of the Fleet ceremony is an age-old tradition in which boats parade past the Little Miami River where Bill Baehr will bless the fleet for a safe and bountiful season. Bill gives the blessing as beautiful carnation flowers are tossed into the river in memory of and to honor our boats and the special intentions of each boat.

How to sign up/join? Reply to SPOND Event, Email Bill Jordan, or coffee & donuts Saturday and or the captains meeting on Saturday June28 @ 11:00am at FSYC.

How to prepare? Pick up your carnations at coffee & donuts or the captains meeting @ 11:00am at FSYC, B-Dock.

Location: In front of the Little Miami River. Line up starts at NOON on river, outside Four Seasons Marina, heading upriver.

Date: Saturday, June 28@NOON

What takes place? As boats in-line approach the stationary chaplain boat outside of the Little Miami (Bill Baehr), your boat/those on board will be announced, saluted by Bill, and boaters will use Ch.14 to share their blessings/special requests and toss flowers into the river as you pass the chaplain boat.

Wear WHITE. This Blanc d Blanc party will stay in theme with white food, decor, and a white elephant gift exchange.

Dinner buffet of chicken, fettuccine Alfredo, roasted cauliflower, bread, and salad will be provided by FSYC.
Guests are asked to provide an appetizer, dessert, and/or sign up to assist. See tasks below.

The White Elephant gift exchange is optional but we know you have something at home you are dying to dump on someone else. Wrap it and join the fun.
